The Lava Monsters trick the citizens again by turning the Evil Mobile into the knights' Rolling Fortrex. Ava and Robin hear the news and are shocked by what they did. When the real knights arrive, all the citizens shooed them off for the assault. They raid and destroy the city of Bork, framing the real knights. Leaving the maze with the real Book of Deception, Jestro feeds several books of the same kind to the Book of Monsters to create fake NEXO Knights where Sparkks is given the appearance of Clay, Moltor is given the appearance of Aaron, Flama is given the appearance of Lance, Burnzie is given the appearance of Axl, and Lavaria is given the appearance of Macy. They eventually find out that Jestro and the Book of Monsters are searching for it too, and it turns into a race to get the book first. Soon, they leave to find a new book called The Book of Deception in a massive maze, which doesn't look like what it seems. The knights' go to Axl's home town Diggington where they meet his mother, father and little sister Axlina who instantly takes a liking to Robin.

Another reference to Ninjago is when a movie extra is seen wearing a mask of Lord Garmadon, a major antagonist and later supporting character of the show. And another called "Knightjago 3", a parody of Lego Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu. Such as "Lanceformers", an obvious reference to Transformers. NOTE: Other movie projects are parodies of other franchises. But soon the knights find out, and they get the new Ultra Armour, giving them more powerful weapons, whilst the director is directing all the action. When they're filming, Jestro summons a monster called Lavaria, a very sneaky monster Jestro then takes a liking to her and orders her to find and give the Book of Monsters to eat the script of 'The Golden Castle' and hold its power, which they successfully do. Macy declines but then eventually agrees to do so. Lance earns a leading role in 'The Golden Castle' and his friends play in the background. After they defeat Jestro with his own monsters, they return to the Fortrex where Merlok reveals that Aaron is scared of staying still for long periods of time.

He helps the other knights break free and they go to stop Jestro. The knights go to the Dark Forest and try to stop Jestro, but one by one, the knights get whipped and their fears are brought to life, except for Aaron, who is afraid of nothing. The jester then brings out spider-globlins and Whiparella, a monster who can find your deepest fears and can bring them to life. Jestro finds the Book of Fear and feeds it to the Book of Monsters. It was up to the knights to destroy them and end the chaos once and for all. Meanwhile, Jestro and the Book of Monsters finds the Book of Chaos where Jestro summons up Beast Master to create chaos in one of the realm's city.
The king and queen are giving three people a tour of the kingdom. Now in total control of the Fortrex, Merlok downloads the Nexo powers onto the Knight's shields and they defeat Jestro. In a final attempt to get the Nexo Knights their powers, Ava uses her Techcaliber to fully integrate Merlok into the Fortrex's systems. Merlok 2.0 stops glitching, but when the knights need their Nexo powers in a battle with Jestro, the Knights cannot get the Nexo powers due to Merlok 2.0's glitching and a problem with the wifi. King Halbert allows the Knights to transform his RV into a rolling Fortrex.

Merlok 2.0 is glitching and the knights are not able to download their Nexo powers during training. When Jestro attacks with his new monster army, the kingdom of Knighton seems to be doomed until something magically happens. Furthermore there is a strange bug in the royal computers. The only hope is that Merlok the wizard has a final trick up his sleeve before he dies.Ī magic blast from Merlok the wizard saved the day, but now Merlok is gone and Jestro is on the loose with the Book of Monsters. In the middle of the party the vengeful jester, Jestro, releases the dangerous Book of Monsters and start making monsters that tear the place apart. Knighton is buzzing with festivities on the graduation day of the Knights Academy.
